With the inception of the William Campbell College, our Founder, Bill Campbell, was looking for a tool that would give a word picture explaining the concept of our service model offering out-of-home care for sibling groups. 

Much thought went into the design of the shield which is shown below with explanations:

The top left side of the shield shows an adult hand reaching down with a helping hand to a child who is reaching up to take the offered hand of protection.

The top right side contains two roof tops symbolising stable accommodation in a family home, with a foundation of Christian principles, which is reflected by the cross.

The bottom left quarter shows cattle which reflects animal care training and therapy along with sheaves of wheat which speak of the agricultural programme.

The bottom right quarter has a book which showcases our solid educational foundation, offering programmes of achievement with art, craft, IT, music and sports - the fundamental birthright of any child.
